Here are the answers to some of our most frequently asked questions:

Is there a deposit needed for the lodges?

There is a £50 deposit required for all lodge bookings, this will be paid on the confirmation of the booking. This deposit is non-refundable, and the remainder of the booking cost will be paid on arrival with the same card used to pay the deposit.

What is included in the kitchen?

All of the kitchens in our lodges are equipped with the following: a fridge, a four-ring electric hob and oven, a kettle, a toaster and all the associated pots, pans, plates and cutlery.

We can also provide you with a microwave if you require this.

Do we need to bring towels for the lodges?

No, soft, white towels are provided in all of our lodges as well as bathrobes.

Is there a shop on-site?

We have no on-site shop but there are shops in the local town which is a 5-minute walk from our park, find out more information here.

Is there parking?

We have parking on site; there is space for one car per booking. However, no motorhomes, caravans or campervans are allowed in our park.

Is there a restaurant on site?

There is no restaurant on site, but the local town has a range of restaurants and cafes and is only a 5 minute walk away from our park. To find out more information click here.

Do we need to bring bedding for the lodges?

No, all bedding is supplied for the beds in the lodges.

Are you pet-friendly?

Only lodge 4 is pet friendly, please click here for more details.

Are BBQ’s provided and can we BBQ anywhere?

BBQ’s are not provided with lodges, but you can hire a BBQ for your stay.

BBQ’s cannot be used on our lodge terraces due to the stone, but you are able to use the grass areas at the back of our lodges.

Are there washing facilities?

We have a token operated washing machine and dryer.

How far away from Brighton is the park?

Our park is less than 6 miles away from Brighton by car or you can access the city via train from the local Hassocks train station. This is a 5-minute car journey from the park.

Is the South Down National Park easily accessible?

Yes! If you look out your lodge window or around the park, your view is of the South Downs National Park. We are located right on the edge of the National Park so it is extremely easy to access.

Is there a minimum and maximum number of nights we can stay?

Yes there is. The minimum night stay is 4 nights and the maximum stay is 28 nights.

Do you offer last minute deals?

We don’t offer any last-minute deals.

However, if you are staying more than 7 nights you will receive 20% discount and our prices are slightly lower during off-peak seasons.

How do I book?

We currently use an online booking system for our customers to check availability and book their stay, you can access this here. If you prefer to book over the phone you are welcome to call us.

What entertainment features are included in the lodges?

There are TV’s and DAB radios located in all of our lodges.

Where is the closest town?

The closest town to our park is The Parish of Hurstpierpoint. This is only a 5 minute walk from our park and has enough shops for you to pick up any supplies you need.
